In the last ten years he served as:
During 1991-1994 as Adviser in Planning to the Ministry of Forestry, he participated in designing the Second National Forestry Long Term Plan.
Since 1966 he has held various positions as project leader, consultant and advisor in numerous tasks and projects within the Indonesian Ministry of Forestry, and the Ministry of Education and Culture in the field of Forest Management, Forest Policy, Forest Protection and Human Resource Development, and University Planning and Development.

His specialties are management (institutional and human resource), biology/ecology, mathematical modeling in biology, pesticide toxicology and education management. His publications include over 100 papers/articles, including two textbooks: Insecticides (properties, mode of actions and metabolic fate) -1991 and Population Dynamics (quantitative ecology) -1994, and one reference book on forest products deterioration –all in Indonesian. His Master’s thesis at Duke University (1964) is on the evaluation of natural resistance of several wood species to the termites, Reticulitermes flavipes and R. virginicus, and PhD thesis at University of Wisconsin-Madison (1975) on the ultrastucture of the olfactory sensory receptor on the antenna of the termite, Coptotermes formosanus
Presently he also serves as professor in Management Science, Krida Wacana Christian University's Graduate School (M.M. Program) and The Technological University of the Philippines, Manila (Bina Mulya Program, Jakarta)
